Hi, I’m Jess
I’m a lesbian visual artist + journaler creating, writing, and healing in the heartland.
I'm a nonbinary femme, introvert, midwestern witch, and tarot reader; a lover of winter, storytelling, the Great Lakes, and heathen Marian devotion.
My work is an outpouring of love for all who are femme, scarred, fat, queer, ill, mad, aging, wounded, abandoned, and healing. Grief work is at the heart of my artistic, spiritual, and healing practice. I believe grieving is sacred, creative alchemy.
I'm devoted to my own & others’ trauma healing through art, play, and imagination, centering femme visual mythologies of tenderness and communion. I practice presence in my body through art making and celebrate fat queer bodies joyously in my work.
I hope my art might offer comfort and company to those who are in need of it.
In love + creation,
Jess
